The KA-52 Alligator helicopter was once the pride of Russian aviation, then turned into wreckage and junk, and now it has turned into pride again - but this time the pride of the Armed Forces of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, which safely “landed” this helicopter.
This helicopter belonged to the 18th Army Aviation Brigade (Khabarovsk), tail number RF-90656. It was shot down on March 19 or 20, 2022, over Hostomel. The estimated cost of one helicopter is 15-16 million dollars. At the beginning of the war, the Russian Federation had no more than 85 of these helicopters in service, and now, thanks to the Ukrainian Armed Forces, there are fewer of them.
