The 40th anniversary lottery, “Community Affairs,” is being held under the slogan “Army, Language, Faith!”
Army — because we are raising funds to help the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Language — because we are giving away four books by Ukrainian authors.
Faith — because both we and the authors of these books believe in the Armed Forces of Ukraine and in victory.
The four books that will be awarded to the four winners of the raffle are:
1. “Revolution” by Oleksandr Turchynov — the first book in the planned historical documentary trilogy by Turchynov. About the Revolution, about intrigues and the struggle for power, about the beginning of total war with Russia — by Oleksandr Turchynov, who needs no introduction to either Ukrainians or their enemies.
2. "General Kuk. Biography of the UPA“ by Volodymyr Viatrovych — a biography of the last commander of the UPA, who lived and fought through all the tragedies of the country in the 20th century and finally saw an independent Ukraine. Volodymyr Viatrovych worked on the book for almost 20 years, knew General Cook personally, and his book won the ”Book of the Year 2025" award.
3. “Sheptucha” by Shevchenko Prize winner Tamara Gorikha Zernia — about escaping the emptiness of life in search of one's true self.
4. “Ptaschniki” by our good friend Dmytro Kalinchuk — included in the long list of the BBC Book of the Year, this is the first novel in Ukraine about UAV pilots, written by a UAV pilot based on his own experience.
All books are autographed by the authors! Yes, there is also an autograph from “Pastor”!
Take part in the lottery, buy tickets, and watch the draw live on the YouTube channel “Community Affairs” on Monday, March 16, at 2 p.m.
